He's pleased as punch though, if he gets himself in.
Check out the cute little feet.
He doesn't even like me to fix his bent leg.

I was talking to a friend here at the RMH the other day, and casually mentioned how Anthony has Down syndrome.
We were talking about how leukemia has so many variables for successful cure.
People with Ds are more likely to develop leukemia, but they respond better to treatment in the long run as well (although treatment side effects are more extreme for those with Ds).
So anyway, I said something about Anthony's Ds, she stopped me and said, "Wait a minute, he has Downs?! I had no idea!"
Several months ago, I had asked friends on Facebook if they saw Anthony's Ds at first glance or not. Many said, "Obviously, yes!" Many others did not, and still do not. All recognize Anthony as being very special in spirit. He has a way of drawing others to him, like a powerful magnet.
Andy and I do not often "see" the telltale signs of Ds: the almond eyes and tiny button nose (although he has it). We see Anthony for who he is, and he is not defined by a syndrome, illness, or heart defect.

I love this post!! You have literally brought tears to my eyes!! Not only is his shear determination to clear from this posting but...also your determination for him to have the best life!! Great post Sarah!
Well said. Sarah, Anthony is very special. He has a way about him that draws people to him, not for what ails him but the person he is within.
I for one really felt this deep need to talk with you while Jeremy and I stayed at RMH all because your little boy caught my eye. I appreciate your strength for what you have done and continue to do for your little man. I hope you guys can go home soon!
