Cake and blood

 Everyone does what Anthony wants.
Maggie saw a cake on Pinterest.
It had white frosting, and was a gender-reveal cake.
We aren't having a baby, but Maggie thought it would be fun to make a similar cake.
We had different friends over for dinner on several Sundays, along with Uncle Walt and Aunt Effie.
So that's when Maggie made the special cake.

The gender reveal cake had blue m&ms in it.
We just did a bunch of fun colors.  :)

What was left. It didn't last long.

We went to Anthony's first post-chemo monthly doctor appointment.
While there, our doctor left the room.
I let Anthony play on the doctor's stool.
He reached to turn off the light.
The stool went one way, and Anthony went the other, with a FACE PLANT on the floor.
I screamed for the doctor to come back in since there was a nasty cut under Anthony's chin.

He didn't hurt so much as HATE being restrained to get stitched up.
We went to get groceries.
(subconsciously, if the kitchen is full, I feel I would do better mentally if his lab results weren't good)
((in reality, I'd be a complete mess and Andy is perfectly capable of shopping for groceries!))

Anyways, while shopping, Anthony kept picking at his stitches and actually pulled 1 1/2 out of the 3 out.
We finished grocery shopping then headed back into the doctor's office.
Because Anthony obviously didn't hurt from pulling the stitches out, the doctor generously covered the area with glue.
He said we'd be good if Anthony could leave it on for at least 3 days.

Amazingly, the next day Anthony didn't bother it much!
It was not pleasant bringing him back in to get the last 2 stitches out.
It's the whole restraining thing.
He's had too much done, and doesn't take well to being held down by 3 people.  :(
Stitches day
We went to visit Crystal, Anthony's favorite lab tech, to get labs done after the stitches were in.
A was shirtless because his shirt had so much blood on it.
Crystal said he was the funniest, coolest patient that day, with stitches, coban on the blood draw site, sunglasses, and his bubbles.

Anthony wouldn't pose for me, so I had to get a picture when he fell asleep.
It doesn't look bad, but it bled a LOT, and I learned what fat looks like.
I was more fascinated than nauseated and was able to watch almost all the stitches procedure.
