Since we started park days, Anthony has been practicing the word "park," and saying (and signing!) it every time we drive by one.
Leavenworth Fish Hatchery had a kids fishing day.
I brought Maggie and Anthony.
Here Maggie is learning how to tie a fishing line knot.
I learned too. ;)
Learning how to cast and reel.
Anthony wanted out the whole time.
Fussed, squealed, everything he could think of to be unbuckled from the stroller.
Didn't work.
Finally, I took him out for his turn...not too successful.
Maggie caught one!
She actually caught two.
We were shown how to gut a fish.
And, got to see the fish heart still beating, even after being cleaned out.
ick
Fish for dinner!
Another cookie day.
The end of school year parties saw a lot of chocolate chip cookies.
Anthony made himself at home with the warm cookies again.
He LOVES cookies warm, but not so much cooled.
Trying a different curling method.
Maggie made dirt cups out of brownies, pudding, oreo crumbs, and gummy worms.
These were for her reading party at school.
One of my garden boxes.
The tomatoes are bigger already, but I took the picture to show the green pumpkin or squash starts in the center.
We covered last year's compost (kitchen waste) with soil, then planted the tomatoes.
I didn't even think anything would grow from the compost!
My next project is to clear weeds out from the other side of our garden so we can have a pumpkin patch.
Maggie's whole school went on a big field trip for the end of school year party.
Anthony had fun running through the sprinklers and getting very soaked.
He also had fun trying to climb the fence.
Maggie turned 12!!
I can't believe my baby is that old already!
Anthony has been doing more and more since being done with chemo.
This week, he actually had fun with a whole sheet of stickers.
He took each one off and put it on a paper.
This is a really, really big deal for him.
Every little development is huge!
Eating pasta on the back porch...not what we recommend, but you can't always make him eat at the table.
*sigh*
