See all the people we don't know?
There were so many people there.
My family still had small town mentality at this point and kept wanting to wait and move out of other people's ways when they were taking family pictures.
I finally convinced them that we wouldn't get anywhere or do anything if we kept waiting around like that.
Expensive, but they brought good comfort.
Anthony's wish was to go meet Buzz and Woody from the Toy Story movies.
He LOVES those movies.
We went on a ride in Tomorrowland, then saw Buzz when we came out.
First, we waited about 5 minutes in the line to go meet him.
An employee came out to tell everyone that Buzz had to go somewhere for a few minutes but that he would be back momentarily.
The employee looked at our badges, then our faces, then our badges again (Make A Wish badges).
He came up to us and told us to NEVER wait in a line to meet any characters.
He brought us straight to Buzz before he had to go, and Anthony got to do the first part of his wish!!
But, he was TERRIFIED of Buzz. :(
Anthony kept looking at Buzz, then looked away in fright.
The Magic Kingdom has a Wish Lounge, just for Make a Wish families, to relax, cool down, and rest.
Anthony and I went in there when he was so hot (and me too!).
It was so nice to have somewhere cool to go, where we weren't surrounded on all sides by soooo many people.
We did go to Orlando at the peak of the season.
He was SCARED of them too.
We treated the children to some ice cream and root beer floats, hoping to cool everyone down.
Anthony slept right through it.
Kelly got to meet Ariel and Eric!!
They had fun talking for a few minutes.
Look at the sleeping boy while we waited for the tram to go back to our van.
They had fun talking for a few minutes.
Ok, now the order of pictures starts again...from Kelly's camera.
He did remarkably well.
Tomorrowland, where Buzz lives.
TEACUPS!!!!!
Kelly's sandaled feet again.
Pascal from Tangled was on Anthony's shirt.
Lilly's leg.
Crowded on the tram to the parking lot. Hot and sweaty.
So, Andy and I promised Kelly that we could return the next day to meet her and Flynn Rider.
I was happy to have finally introduced Anthony to Buzz and Woody, and was sad he was scared.
But, I also knew that with his pictures with the characters, he'd have something fun to look at later this winter when he's going through treatment.
