Wish you were here.

Having so much fun in Florida!! Internet connection is sloooooow in the evenings, so I'll update with many dozens of pictures when we return. :)

Words

There are two "R" words that I've come to dislike, no despise, over the past 3 years.

First is the word retard. Because I'm not as eloquent as I once was able to be, I'll share this link to help explain just a little of why this particular r-word is offensive to me.

The other R-word I'm hating right now is relapse.

While we're getting ready to go on the adventure of a lifetime, another family is suffering unimaginable grief as their daughter's leukemia has relapsed for the second time, AFTER she went through a bone marrow transplant from her twin brother.

A few months ago, Mia was trying to raise money to help fight cancer.

Mia's family has been an amazing example of grace under fire. They are kind, respectful, and have remained dignified throughout their fight against Mia's leukemia.
Please pray for Mia and her family.

Did you know that 46 children will be diagnosed with cancer today?
7 children will die today, from cancer.
Cancer sucks.

Changes

Yesterday, Penny was resting by Andy...with the pool party balloons attached to her collar.

This morning, our home teachers came (with a few extra) to help us move the furniture outside for the carpet to be installed.
Andy was working overnight, so it was really nice to have these men come help.
It took them maybe 5 minutes to get all the big furniture out!

You can see where the rug was and where the high traffic areas are.

The worn down area of the wood floor.

All the furniture outside...looks like an estate sale, doesn't it.

So excited to have a soft floor to play on!

Lilly making a carpet angel.

Chillin' on the new carpet while Andy installs a new outlet.

The coloring was not quite right in any of the pictures.

This picture is closest, but there is a LOT mor natural light than this.

Kelly was redoing everything in the front rooms.

She got out our HUGE bowl, and thought it had to have something inside.

I told her the candles don't get to stay in fabric.

We love the carpet, and love the service, speed, and professionalism displayed by our installers from Lowes.
