A real haystack!!
In Washington, we always see hay rolls or hay bales, but never haystacks.

Gorgeous sunflowers are everywhere in Wyoming!
WYOMING
And its wildlife
Yes, Josh is in his pajama pants...
Wyoming was cool with the cool stall walls being covered with pebbles.
I think Amy agreed.
Anthony was imitating the bear.
And dancing with Maggie
The Lincoln Memorial statue
I loved the beauty everywhere we went, and I noticed how really red the rock was in Wyoming.
Again, darker and more vivid than the picture.
I saw signs for an historic mansion in Laramie, so after we stocked up at the grocery store (found a Safeway!!), we found the mansion.
Our lodging in Laramie was at the KOA campground.
We rented a cabin and had two rooms.
Our room had a queen bed, and the kids' room had 2 sets of bunk beds.
This would be the kind of lodging to have when we have all our children grown, so they can have privacy and their own space when they come home to visit.
When we camped in Kansas, I discovered that at some campgrounds, cabins are not expensive to rent at all!
Less than a hotel, and not much more than tent sites.
So, I learned to ask about cabin rates when we called about camping.
There's also a bunkbed behind Andy.

The Laramie KOA campground was clean, had MANY washers and dryers, had good water, we had plenty of comfortable space in the cabin, and the hosts explained where we could go swimming in town.
We ended up not going swimming, but I appreciated their help and friendliness.
Also, we were surprised to have freshly-baked cookies upon arrival at the campground!! Awesome!
